Excerpt:
Adrien walked back onto the main street and over to the curb, where someone caught his eye. A man with short black hair walked toward him. Dressed in dark jeans, with a white shirt and dark wool jacket, he wore a single diamond stud in his left ear. A woman hurrying down the sidewalk dodged Adrien as he stopped, but the man behind him knocked him to his knees.
“Are you all right?” someone said with a hint of a French accent.
Adrien looked up into familiar brown eyes. Adrien inhaled slowly, hoping to head off the bloodlust that buzzed at the back of his brain. Heat tingled at the back of his neck, raising the hairs there. His palms felt suddenly sweaty. He felt sick. Not nausea—shock at seeing Nicolas here, realizing it really was Nicolas.
“Yes, I….” Adrien took the hand Nicolas offered and struggled back to his feet. The world spun and he grabbed Nicolas’s arm to steady himself.
“You’re not all right. You look ill. I should call an ambulance—”
“No ambulance.” Adrien righted himself. “I just need to eat something. It’s hotter than I realized.”
Nicolas glanced around, frowned, then said, “There’s a coffee shop at the corner.” He didn’t appear convinced by Adrien’s words. “Why don’t I help you over there?”
As if Adrien would object. “Thank you.”
Five minutes later they sat at a booth by the window, Adrien drinking coffee with a trembling hand. Adrien had watched Nicolas as they’d walked the short distance to the restaurant, his swordsman’s muscles straining against the fabric of his shirt. He looked only slightly older than he’d been when they met. “I’m sorry,” he said, coming back to himself and wondering why Nicolas was sitting with him when he could have left. “I must be keeping you from something.”
“No,” Nicolas answered. “In fact, I just came from a meeting. I’ve got the rest of the afternoon free.”
“I’m Adrien.” He forced a smile and set the empty mug down.
“Nicolas.”
“It’s good to meet you, Nicolas,” Adrien said in French. He drew another long breath and his heart slowed its gallop.
“Please call me Nico,” Nicolas said, also in French.

Still Waters by F.E.Feeley Jr

Still Waters was created for a confluence of reasons. Promise, Michigan really represents the modern Gilded Age America has slid into in the past decade.  I really wanted to screw with image in this book. There is this whole world out there so built upon false imagery and it managed to bloat it’s self-importance into this balloon where all one needs to do is scratch at the surface and it pops. It’s a place where aggression and people who wish to keep things the status quo are thinly veiled underneath the surface of fake smiles and anyone is capable of anything.
In the book, a young gay man is found floating lifeless in a pond. His family and his boyfriend are, naturally, devastated and even though the police report says that he committed suicide, none of them believe it.  Five years after the incident, his boyfriend returns to the family and suddenly all hell breaks loose. And of course there is a paranormal element, it wouldn’t be one of my books if there wasn’t.
Our world is sort of going crazy right now. And as a horror writer, I write about what scares me. And the fight in Ferguson, Missouri, thinking we could end up with another Trayvon Martin (God Forbid) or Matthew Shepherd, brought to us by people who are angry that the world around them is changing beyond their control, including police officers, is what inspired this book. From Capitol Hill to Southern State Legislators and City Halls, crazy is on full display right now in ways I’ve never seen.
In regards to the theme of the book. Still Waters is a book about justice. It’s about hope. It’s about the modern American life that is sort of being dangled over oblivion by a spider’s thread. It’s about shattering the gold dipped obnoxiousness that has been in favor of higher truths.
I have a personal rule. I’ll get you to the Happy Ever After. I’ll get you to the light. But you have to go through the dark, first. You have to earn your HEA. And in Still Waters, I make the reader do that. And hopefully, I hit a nerve. Good or bad. I hope I make people angry, I hope I make them laugh, Cry, and know they went on a trip.

As Natural as Breathing by Thianna D

I asked Thianna D what inspired her to write As Natural As Breathing:

All They Ever Needed started as a prompt for a short story. It didn’t take long before I knew this would be more than a short story. However, it wasn’t until As Natural As Breathing was finished that I knew it would be a trilogy.
Logan and Christian leapt off the pages as I wrote them. Every author loves their characters, but these two become special to me. When I finished the last book – Breathe Each Other In – I was both happy and sad to see it end.
Of course, it never ‘ends’ does it? I’m writing a couple spin offs of the series and Logan & Christian still pop up from time to time. I hope they continue to pop up for some time to come :)

Author Name: Thianna D (Thianna Durston)
Author Bio:
Thianna loves to write strong stories with even stronger heroes. While all of her books have an erotic overtone, it is the story that is the most important to her. “The story should be able to stand on its own. The erotic elements are an add-on.”
She enjoys writing about couples with kink, paranormal couples, and straight out strangeness. But more on that later… mm.thiannad.com.

When he meets Christian at a party, everything changes. Instantly attracted, he does his best to help this sad man and quickly finds himself feeling more than he has ever felt before. Raised in a domestic discipline household, he holds that ideal as what he wants but his interest in spanking became a fetish and when Christian admits that he wants to be spanked, Logan believes he might have found the perfect man.

Just as everything begins for them, Christian’s past intercedes and one of his brothers makes waves about him dating a man. If it weren’t for Logan’s support, he might fold; but with the love of one amazing man, Christian finds that living his life rather than just existing is as natural as breathing.

Excerpt:
Dinner was easy, the easiest first date Christian had ever been on. Logan laughed, talked, teased, but it felt like he was with a friend rather than with a date…but then again, that was what he asked for. After two large platters of sushi disappeared between the two of them, they paid and left. “Okay, we can drive or we can walk. The theater is only ten blocks.” Then Logan’s eyes dropped to his leg. “Damn, I forgot about your leg. Maybe we should drive.”
Shaking his head, Christian placed a hand on his arm. “Naw. I walk by the river all the time. I think I’d like to walk.”
Logan watched him, as if trying to make up his mind if Christian meant it or not. When he figured he did, he beamed. “Great. There is this cool piece of art you have got to see.”
